My Ipod touch no is seen in iPhoto?! But can be seen in iTunes, what gives?

Iphoto is enabled in itunes. Usually iphoto opens during the sync process. But not this time and once iphoto is opened only my photo stream appears no ipod icon. All my programs are up to date. Any ideas?
