I can't use Book Proofer because my iPad/iPhone 4S won't sync to my Mini.

I bought this Mac Mini specifically because iTunes Producer only runs on Mac products - which, btw, is pretty **** dumb. I get why they did it, but it's a stupid, annoying gimmick that only serves to reduce the amount - and the quality - of the content on iTunes.

But I digress.

I have an iPhone 4s, and and iPad (Gen 1). My understanding is that the Book Proofer app allows you to view an epub on your connected device so that you can double-check that it looks like it's supposed to in iBooks. That sounds great to me, since I'm all about quality-checking our work.

That said, I can get neither device to connect to the new Mini. Both pair just fine, but sit there in the Network window showing "Not Connected," and nothing I do seems to make any difference in that.

As a new non-iOS user, I'm happy to try things I may not have thought of to get this to work. I know that the Bluetooth on the Mini is working fine, since I'm typing this on a Bluetooth keyboard. I also know the Bluetooth works on both the other devices due to connections to still other devices that work fine.

I'm at my wits end with this and am about ready to throw this already-annoying machine out the window. Please help it to avoid this fate, if you can.
