Does iTunes Match include audiobooks purchased on iTunes?

iTunes Match is only for songs. Also, audiobooks purchased in the iTunes Store can't be redownloaded

You will be able to listen to them. When you sync your iPhone with the Mac, audiobooks will be transferred to your computer, so when you sync your iPad, audiobooks will be synced to it if you have turned on audiobooks sync

On a similar question, I've bought an audiobook on my iPhone. I have an iCloud subscription and iTunes match. I thought anything I bought on iTunes should automatically appear in iTunes on my desktop Mac. Is this correct or do I need to physically connect the iPhone to the Mac and sync via iTunes? Are audiobooks included in iTunes match?

The audio books feature is defective. Apple software technicians should be dragged out into the street and shot in the head for this crap. I tunes is the worst software ever written.

Let's all not get on the iTunes bashing bandwagon. It's very simple to work around this.

EVEN WITH ITUNES MATCH TURNED ON - Just plug in your phone to your computer and DRAG the Audiobooks over the phone icon in the left side bar. They'll sync to your phone, while still leaving iTunes Match On.

Done.

Apple only sells the audiobooks which most of them are supplied from Audible. Audible has likely placed this restrictions in order for apple to sell them in the store.
