Running with nano 7th gen and sweat

I've had my nano since Christmas. I run with it attached to my arm with the Belkin arm band. When I complete my runs, I pull the nano out and find that its list on the back of the unit from my sweat seeping through the band. Last night my nano died. I unable to get any display or a y action when plugging it to iTunes. Has anyone else had this problem? Not sure if its a defective nano or if in fact it was the sweat that got to it. If it was the sweat, how does anyone exercise with one and keep it dry.

Put the iPod in you pocket next time, or if you are using Nike iPod, buy a clip and attach/clip it to your hip. This is a weird problem. You can get answers from the many other people experiencing this same problem and asking this same question on apple support communities. You can also ask apple by sending a complaint or just do a traditional web search on google. Sorry about your iPod):

Thx for your reply and help Hal. I ended up putting mi nano in a bag of rice for a day and I was able to power it on and use it. I haven't ran with it yet tho. I'm going to wrap it in plastic and see if the Bluetooth will work. I'm stuck on a boat in brazil for 56 days so I'll have to wait to get a clip. I think I may try the wrist clip, if my iPod lasts that long
