Burning audio CDS without making a playlist

I've downloaded an album from itunes and want to burn it to CD for my daughter. Do I have to turn it into a playlist first or is there a more straightforward way to do this? It seems a bit of a 'mess-about' to turn an existing album into a playlist just to burn a hard copy. I'm wondering if I'm missing a simple way to do this.
