Mar 8, 2013 6:04 AM in response to Daak Sifterby mohanfromajax,I have the same issue..
bought my MBP retina 15" on march 4th...
debating whether i return the unit ...
It amazes me these types of issues on these expensive units. is apple doing enough testing on these devices before releasing to the market...

Mar 8, 2013 8:26 AM in response to mohanfromajaxby D.eclectic, katacalorI see you've posted sites that the story went up on — I just caught it on Apple Insider this morning myself
Interestingly enough… my fans haven't been revving up as much lately *Shrugs*

Mar 8, 2013 8:35 AM in response to jamezmbpby LetronDE,One point the reporting sites are wrong: not only the Early 2013 Models have this problem.
My mid 2012 Model (bought Jan 2013) has the same issue with SanDisk SSD.

Mar 8, 2013 8:35 AM in response to jamezmbpby peppie55,I wonder if the 13 inch retina do have the same problem...
And if there is no issue, are the SSD's still samsung or sandisk?

Mar 8, 2013 8:47 AM in response to peppie55by Kirawang,There has no evidence shows that 13 inch rMBP suffers the same issue(both this site and another big forum in China). Personally, one of my friend, who had bought a 13 inch 128GB version about three weeks ago still has the Samsung SSD( I am 100% sure because i did the test ). Whats more
from what I saw above at this thread , this fan issue also related with the nvidia GT650M. And 13 inch rMBPS only has integrated graphic card.

Mar 8, 2013 9:04 AM in response to Kirawangby peppie55,Ok, but if I put my dynamic switching off and only using integrated card, the problem still exists.

Mar 8, 2013 9:26 AM in response to jamezmbpby adams828,15" model. First time MacBook owner here, same issue. And I thought it was just how the dang thing worked... ugh! Not what you want to hear for such a premium $ product!

Mar 8, 2013 9:30 AM in response to jamezmbpby Christopher Wall,Long time Mac user, but just got the 2013 rMBR 15" and same issue (my 2012 rMBP doesn't have fan issue). Funny thing is - I thought something else was going on in the house or outside the first few times I heard the fan kick into high gear! I have that issue on a Mac Pro, but only when doing something that is stressing it...

Mar 8, 2013 11:06 AM in response to jamezmbpby Habsuno,I can replicate this issue easily by downloading a larger file.
just grabbed a 400 MB file from my server (using curl), and the fans start kicking in, hence no GPU issue.
