There are so many of us that have returned and are waiting with baited breath for some conformation.

So far i don't have any spikes.... I'm testing some more, but it looks good!!

Now all you people that poo-poo'd on apple can be happy. This was an intermittent issue. Being an engineer I know these issues happen. You don't notice them until your users report them en-mass. They fixed it. I'm in love again.

Did you try testing it on the song and other signals (like heavy writing)?

Your condescension is unjustified -- it was a real issue that would have been revealed with a modicum of testing.

I'm very happy it has been solved and compliments for Apple by solving it in less than 2 weeks!

@peppie55 2 weeks from critical mass to solution.  This problem existed for months.

TBH this is the part that bothers me the most -- the fact that it took an active media effort to get them to do anything.

I don't think that all Macbook Pros were experiencing this issue. I certainly didn't have it, so I guess it is fair to call it rare.

Anyway, now it is all over.

I know, but since they confirmed it is 2 weeks, and I will never suspect from samsung, asus or dell with coming a update that fast.
