How do I get rid of purchased songs, forever?

I purchased an album over a year ago on my iPhone (from the iTunes store). I have deleted all but 1 song from the purchased album. Now everytime I sync with iTunes the entire album shows up in iTunes and on my iPhone.

I even connected my iPhone, launched iTunes and deleted all the songs from iTunes and from my iPhone. I said yes to remove them all from the Cloud and on the hard drive. I sync my iPhone again (manually) and ALL the songs are back in iTunes and on my iPhone.

I HATE THIS ALBUM and want it gone FOREVER!!! How do I get rid of this?

I have done this about 40+ times in the last year. I am about to NEVER buy a full album from iTunes again.

Just incase, I have an iPhone 4 with the most up to date software and a 15" MBP w/ Retina display, always with the newest updates of OS and apps, including iTunes 11.0.1

Thanks for your help.
