For the past day or so I have been having problems with horizontal lines on my screen when scrolling and videos freeze/take a long time to load. Don't know if the two are related but both started at the same time. Any ideas of what could be wrong? Thx

Take a couple of screen shots, and take it to the Apple store. They diagnose for free. Could be a bad video card, or logic. They will diagnose it and give you a repair rate. If there is no evidence of liquid or droping damage they will usually fix it for a flat rate. Good luck.

There is one thing you can try, if it works it will rpobably be temporary. Pram reset: Power off the mac, power it back on holding the following keys: option,command,P,R(no commas) Press these keys before the start chime, continue to hold them till you hear the start chime 2 times ten release. Reboot. I think it will still need a trip to the Apple store for a diagnosis. All the best
