Installed HP Officejet 6700 Premium printer, connected to WIFI, but iPad 3 cannot find it. Gives message " no AirPrint products found". Any suggestions as to how I can solve this?

It is possible that your printer needs a firmware update. According to the Apple AirPrint basics website, some printers may need an update out of the box. Did you try restarting the printer? Sometimes its that easy and simple.

Works with computer, checked for updates. Said there was no updates. I restarted printer and iPad to no avail!
I am going from memory so bear with me. Was there some setting that you had to go through in order to connect to your network - some wireless software download? I vaguely recall having to set up wireless settings with my HP but I set it up over a month ago and that like a lifetime ago for me as far as my memory goes.
But you are saying that you can print over WiFi to your computer? The printer is not hard wired to your computer?
I have an HP 3522 all in one printer and I had a hard time getting it set up to print from my Ipad. I could not get the printer setup wirelessly. I did tho find instructions on HP's website for “printing from a mobile device" and that worked for me.
Another thought I have that you might try since you were able to set your printer up to your wireless network...go to your settings and tap Wifi and see if the Ipad has recognized the printer and is trying to connect to it. If so, tap the printer name to connect, if you see a forever spinning wheel by the printer name, HP says that is normal and will not go away, so ignore.
A couple of thoughts. First, make sure your printer and iPad are on the same Wi-Fi network. Also, there appears to be a firmware update that was issued in October 2012. I would upload this to your printer anyway.
Also, keep in mind that just because the printer can see your computer, does not necessarily mean the iPad can do the same.
What other thing to consider is your router. What kind is it? It may need a firmware update too. At the outset, however, you can try doing a restart of the router.
I just wonder....does it make a difference with the firmware when I have a PC, dell, and apple iPad. Does it need different firmware? Since it is different operating systems?
The firmware is for the printer software and that would be installed via your PC but that has nothing to do with the iPad being an Apple device. Lots of PC users are using AirPrint printers.
I am at a loss. Can't get the iPad or iPhones to connect! Have tried everything from all of the above suggestions. Thank you all so much for your time! Next thing is calling hp to get more help, I guess.
Did you try the router bit I mentioned?
I did. Called centurylink and they said there was not any updates for firmware on the modem and that it should work just fine. He had me change radio signal on modem. iPad then found the printer. Told it to print, didn't print. Then it didn't find printer again after that! Calling hp later today
Well, that was some progress. The iPad recognize the printer for a brief time at least.
Just for fun, open the multitask bar on your iPad by pressing the home button twice quickly. If there is a stuck print job pending, you will see the air print icon. Tap it and cancel any print jobs.

You may also use the Wireless Direct feature to temporarily isolate any possible cause and bypass your router, if that works through the Wireless Direct connection that means the router cause the issue:

If you can't find the Wireless Direct option within the Wireless Settings that means you use an older firmware, therefore be sure to update your printer:
