Connecting 30" Cinema Display to windows 7 HDMI laptop

Hi all,

Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter

I also have an

HDMI Male to DVI Single Link Male Projector Cable, 6ft - http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/directron_2242_701824859

the above adapter was for my older machine that had a DVI input in it and no HDMI (used it for hooking up to or some monitor that didn't have DVI) - so i dont think it applies here, but throwing it on the list.

Unfortunately I am now in the position of having to use a PC laptop. There is no DVI input, only HDMI and VGA. I am willing to get another adapter, I am just dumbfounded on how to go about getting this display to work with my machine. Any help is very very veryyyy appreciated.
