Can I back up my Ipod classic to my Itunes before I get a new battery tomorrow?

As everything on your ipod classic came from your computer in the first place, it should still be there.
Not everything on my Ipod classic came from my computer. I have gotten a new computer several years after the purchase of my Ipod classic back in 2006. So my ipod has a different playlist than my Itunes library. Alot of it is the same, due to my taste in music, but alot is not on my itunes library that I would like from my Ipod Classic.
Can I back up my Ipod classic ......
