Ok its an oldy but a goody. I have a macbook pro, imac, ipad and a iphone. If I read an email on any of these devices it never shows up as read on any of the others.
If this a problem with Icloud still?
I have sync via icloud but still with no joy.
Ideas? Help? anyone!

This always works as expected for me.
Are you using IMAP (or Exchange) for your accounts? That's necessary.
One is a mac account Imap (which doesn't sync)
The others are pop? Again they dont sync ether.
Is pop an exchange server?
Are you using the Icloud email address? If not I don't think you want the mail option on in the icloud.
IMAP on any sever should synch across devices independent of icloud
its an @me.com account.
The others are @url.com.au?
Do you mean turn of mail in icloud on system prefs?
