iTunes still does not recognize or see my new iPod when I plug it in.

I have done everything Apple suggests several times and iTunes still does not recognize or see my new ipod touch 5th generation. Can someone please help me with this.

Did yo try everthing here:

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

including

Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Do you have iTunes version 11?

Does it charge?

Does it appear in My Computer?
