Sometimes when I send a txt mess to someone in my contacts, someone else will receive the message from the intended receipents

Sometimes when I send a text message to someone in my contacts the message will be delivered to another person in my contacts. The same person has received multiple messages that I have sent to others. The messages received by the unintended recipient are received from the phone # of the intended recipient. How can I stop this from happening?
