Mid 2009 13 inch macbook white ram upgrade

Hi, I'm looking into upgrading my ram memory on my mid 2009 macbook white, at the moment it has 2G of 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, I was just wondering if it matters what I upgrade to? Does it have to be the same MHz, is there a limit on how much I can upgrade to? Thanks to all who can help

regards/J

It is Important to get the Correct and Matching RAM

For best performance, fill all memory slots, installing an equal memory module in each slot.

That site also has videos on how to Install RAM should you need it...
