I recieved an email from the BBB about a complaint. I opened the email and clicked on the zip file not knowing it was a virus. Now I am worried and would like to know how can I protect my info or scan to remove any viruses of whatever maybe on my computer collecting my personal info!!

And how do you know it is a virus?
1. Why would you open the file if you weren't sure of it's orgins?
2. Any virus contained was for Windows only, so stop worrying.

I already told you the answer...dont worry about it.
1. Obvously I thought it was from a reputable source or I wouldn't have opened the email.
2. I just want to be sure that there isn't any monitoring virus or whatever it would be called sittng on my computer collecting personal information.
That file was almost certainly malware... however, it was Windows malware, and as such, cannot in any way harm your Mac. The only known Mac malware that has been sent via e-mail within the last few years was part of an extremely tightly-targeted e-mail campaign sent to supporters of the Dalai Lama in Tibet, and it did not come disguised as a BBB e-mail.
