need genius answer asap

when i took d back up without using time machine(drag n drop) n tried verifying on the other mac it was also broken....same mssge came "disk utility cant repair......take back up as much as possible" etc etc n format it....as soon as i took the data on other mac n erased from extrnal that other mac also got crashed o.O

i just want to know what could be the reason behind it????????????????????
