Hi,
I have the new 27inch model iMac and as we know they have no firewire ports. I've got a Firewire to Thunderbolt adapter for my two external Firewire 800 hard drives.
Question is I have my old Mini DV camcorder that I used to plug in with a 4-Pin to 6-Pin Firewire cable. How do I go about gettinbg this camcorder hooked up to the new iMac?

Thanks. Though all the ones that go straight to Thunderbolt seem to be only Firewire 800. Would a Firewire 400 to Firewire 800 to Thunderbolt adapter work?

I Would think that two adapters would work. The only way to know is to buy the two adapters, put them together and plug it into your iMac and see what happens.
