Whenever I connect my iPod Touch to my computer, iPhoto automatically opens - even though I have specified that I do not want my photos synced. In the dock, I do not have iPhoto set to open automatically either. What SHOULD be happening, is that iTunes should open - not iPhoto.

If you don't want iPhoto to start go to the iPhoto menu item and select Preferences. In the General Tab change the "Connecting camera opens:" setting.
iPhoto is starting because to it your iPod looks like a camera with pictures on it. This has nothing to do with iTunes Syncing.

Okay, understood. But when I want to upload photos from my digital camera, I DO want iPhoto to start. I just don't want it to start every time I try to recharge my iPod Touch.
Why not just recharge the iPod Touch with the 5W power adaptor then?

Remember that the iPod Touch is also a camera, however, if you don't have any photos in the iPod Touch Camera roll then iPhoto won't start when you connect it to your Mac.
Don't have a 5W adaptor. But thanks, I understand better now.
