hi All, i have just found that i cannot type in anything into the Search Box at the top of the screen when i Launch the LaunchPad, i could do it earlier in the day ok, but now i cant do it at all.
I know i can scroll left or right to find what i am looking for, but this is a mite tiresome !
Has this happened to anyone else, what can i do please ?.

Try pressing Command + Space Bar while Launchpad is running.
I was having this problem after upgrading to Mavericks on a Macbook Pro Retina, and this just fixed it for me. After I close launchpad and open it again, I can search normally by just typing.
