hi, i just got a new laptop and downloaded itunes. I sunk my ipod but it won't let me change any settings or deleat any songs and my ipod has to be plugged in to the laptop for my songs to show up. on my old computer i could access my music and everything else without my ipod being plugged in. any solutions?

You need to transfer the music from your iPod to your new computer. See this support article:
