once completing migration, how do you tranfer into the correct user account on your mac?

This is an issue whenever you migrate after the first time you startup into Setup Assistant. If you have a good backup you might consider erasing & re-installing and starting over with Setup Assistant. If not you can use your Shared folder to tranfer items between the 2 accounts.
