All of a sudden my Mail has stopped working...I cannot send or receive mail and one particular email has gone into the 'recovered message' folder on my mac at least 80 times..I am using a Macbook Pro. My mail is working fine on my iphone so I know it is not the settings. Any help is greatly appreciated 🙂

I found an answer on another community thread that worked for me. I created a file --/Users/your username/Library/Mail/EnvelopeIndex and saved it to the desktop. Suddenly the Mail works again. However my Safari still won't open the start page on the Macbook, though it works fine on my iphone4.
