Erase Hard Drive but Keep current OS!

I'm trying to erase my hdd with all info and avoiding to roll back to previous OS. When I bought it, it had Tiger and now has Snow Leopard.

Unfortunately, I don't have the disk anymore for Leopard. I want to get rid of my Macbook pro and make it look like default factory settings but keeping Snow Leopard.

Any advice?

Thanks

Did you mean to say that you no longer have the disk for Tiger anymore?

You can completely wipe the hard drive and let the buyer purchase Snow Leopard directly from Apple for $19.95 and install it themselves (be sure to advise them to check the Optional install for Rosetta and IMHO: QuickTime 7).

I would move quickly, though. Once Apple stops selling Snow Leopard, its value on alternative sources, such as Amazon and eBay, will go up dramatically (as did Leopard).

Alternatively, once it has been purchased, you might be able to "hire" yourself out as a IT consultant to purchase Snow Leopard from Apple and install it on their behalf. Just be sure to give the buyer the Snow Leopard DVD and all of the packaging and invoice (which when ordered from the Apple Store, you should purchase in the buyer's name and have it sent c/o you).
