Q: Insecure Startup Item Fix Doesn't Work. Help?
Using Migration Assistant via WI-FI to set up my new iMac using the data from my old iMac. Both are running 10.8.2. Most things went fine, but now I am getting a warning box on boot up.
The box says Insecure Startup Item Disabled.
"/Library/StartupItems/Executor" is the offending item.
Using the option key, I am opening the Library from the Go Menu. There is not "startup items" folder so I am not sure where the offending file is.
I am not a great Terminal user, but wondering if there is a way to access that file.
I have tried rebuilding the permissions and that went great. There were no permissions that needed repair. I restarted the computer, but the message keeps showing up.

"Insecure Startup Items folder" message appears after logging in
Note: To open the right Library folder, start from the top level of your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) This is not the Library subfolder of your home folder.
