Problem syncing calendar on IPod Touch 4th generation.

Upgraded my MacBook to Mountain Lion recently, but having problem syncing calendar on IPod Touch 4th generation. All other data able to sync; cannot figure out why I'm not able to sync calendar.

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.0.1

Thanks for the response - I have not used the iCloud calendar. I have followed the info re. sync contacts, calendar, etc with iPod but still having problems syncing calendar.
