battery last less than an hour

Did you do a reset? If not, try it:

• Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
• Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn't solve the problem, your battery has probably failed. If still under warranty, Apple will replace your iPod with a refurbished one with a new battery for free. Otherwise they will charge you $99. Alternatively you can go to a thired party for the battery replacement or replace it yourself. Google "replace ipod touch battery" for information

may be a bad battery, or your multitasking is running WAYY too many programs.

first: double click the square button on the bottom of your ipod

click the ➖ by every icon until they are all gone.

or you have a bad battery, and sometimes the batteries are more expensive than the ipod, so you might just have to buy a new one :/
