How do I get photos from my iPhone 4S photo library/albums to transfer to my MacBook Pro.

I want to transfer my old pictures that are not in photo stream onto my MacBook Pro from my iPhone 4S photo library/albums and don't know how?

I just tried to do it from my iPad to MacBook and somehow erased all of them off of the iPad.

Now I'm afraid it's gonna erase them off my phone without me plugging it into the computer.

PLEASE HELP ME!

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1

If the photos are in the camera roll, import them as outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. If they are in the photo library album they were originally synced to your phone from your computer and should already be on your computer. If they aren't, and your only copy of these photos are on your phone, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them, which can transfer photos from any album between your devices/computers. They may be slightly lower resolution than the originals, but you may not notice the difference.

Simply plug in your iPhone and sync it with iTunes. In iTunes, select the photos tab when you select your phone from the devices list from itching iTunes. Then, make sure Sync Photos to iPhoto is checked. Then, tap apply to start syncing your photos.

iTunes only syncs photos from your computer TO your phone, not the other way around. Worse yet, if you attempt to do this and the photos in your photo library album are not on your computer, it will delete them from your phone and they will be lost.

@Randers4 You are absolutely correct!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Everything u said in both links were exactly dead on.

I was panicking because I already tried to just plug the iPad in and hit sync and it erased all my kids and family pics from the iPad

I was afraid it was gonna erase them wirelessly from my iPhone

I got the photosync app and am waiting for them to transfer now.

Have a good night.

Thank u again.
