Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I'm using Safari 5.0.3 on a macBook with OS 10.6.6.

When I try to open a window (or a new window) it often just shows the upper top bit on screen; yet when i click on the green dot, it fills out but leaves part of the upper screen missing. Nothing then seems to give me the full window. It's happening often, but not always. What's wrong?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.6), Intel processor

Why are you not on 10.6.8? That's the top free update to 10.6.


Your Safari then should be 5.1.7.

Go up to the black Apple icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Select it to get the drop down menu, and click on "Software Update." It will take a little time, but it will come up with any OS updates.


A quicker way for right now would be to click on the link below for info &download for the 10.6.8 COMBO update. That should also update your Safari.
