Have recently updated my OS tp Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Am running latest version of Itunes. Cannot get the computer to recognise my touch ipod

I have had this issue since before Christmas & talked to support. They could not help me. The only way I have found to connect my iPod 5 to my computer was to totally remove all Apple software & restart fresh. I hate not having iTunes biut at least I can use my new iPod.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. The Sidebar is when you will see the iPod under Devices. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
