Ridiculously Slow Download Speeds!!

I just got my new Macbook Air 13", and by god is the downloading speed slow. I am trying to download albums for my itunes to fill my library up but my download speed after checking it on Speedtest.net is only .80 kbs!!! so dumb! How do i fix this, because this is completely unacceptable, I payed way to much for this downloadspeed
