How do I connect Magic Mouse

Ok hee is my dilemma I had a wired mouse but it unfortunately broke so I bought a Magic Mouse the only problem is that I have never connected it and I can't move my mouse I did some shortcut commands to turn on Bluetooth but I can't get my Magic Mouse to connect
