i got my iphone 5 from 3 network last month.How long is the warranty from apple?..Is there a way I can check or extend this warranty?

One year. You can buy AppleCare which extends the warranty, but I think you have to buy it within a certain time of the purchase of the phone. Contact an Apple store.
