Q: How do I turn off compatibility mode for iTunes?

I'm trying to set up itunes on my new Windows 8 laptop.  I'm getting an alert telling me to turn off the compatability mode before I open itunes - could someone kindly tell me how to do this?  thanks

Try the following document, only be sure that none of the boxes in the compatibility tab are checked (not just the compatibility mode box itself):
