I have just backed up my iphone 4s onto my computer, but unfortunatly the videos on the camera roll have not backed-up, can anyone help me in how to do this.

Videos/pictures in the camera roll are part of the backup http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
You can also import those videos to your computer http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

Yes they are > iTunes: About iOS backups
The iPhone is not a back up device and you should import your Photos and Videos to you computer often > iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
