i just got a phone unlocked but when i inserted my 3 sim, it says "only compatible sim cards from supported carrier may be used to activate iphone. please insert the sim card that came with your iphone or visit a supported carrier's store to recieve a replacement sim card".... what should i do now to make it work?

Who and how did you get your phone unlocked?
i got it from some person who owns a shop in town. he gave me iphone 5 which was locked on vodafon. i received a msg from him saying it is unlocked now and you can try inserting another sim.
Your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.
Only the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock it.
apparently he got it unlocked from the carrier becuase couple of days ago he said "ive sent a request to unlock the phone and will receive the email shortly".
Apparently or he did?
If indeed he got it unlock from the carrier, he would need to restore it on his computer.
My advice is to return the phone to him and buy an official unlock phone from an authorized apple dealer.
