Bluetooth/A2DP streaming dropping out when using AAC codec, iOS 6.0.x?

As of iOS 6.0.1 (iPhone4) and iOS 6.0.2 (iPhone5) there appears to be a lot of jitter in audio packets when streaming over A2DP using AAC codec, causing audio to drop out occasionally, especially when fast forwarding or moving between tracks. Streaming with SBC codec in iOS 6.0.x is fine, as well as streaming both SBC/AAC with older iOS versions (for example iOS 5.1.1 on an older iPod Touch). The only remotely applicable technical explanation I could find was in TN2258, although the article is dated November 2009 (and mentions nothing about Bluetooth) and I would assume if this would be the cause of the problem it would show up in earlier versions of iOS:

There's no way to ask a technical questions in https://developer.apple.com/ withouth being a member so I'm posting it here - sorry about wide distribution.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem while using Bluetooth headphones which claim AAC support, such as "Beats by Dre" etc.?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2
