Bad iPod Touch

I have an iPod Touch 64GB that is a few years old that is acting up. First I was losing my songs, and now the thing is totally unreliable.

I have looked over the Apple Repair Service options and I am wondering if it is worth it, or should I just scap it and buy a new one?

I think that this one has been baked because I leave it in my car all the time and in the summer it gets pretty hot.

Opinions please?

A replacement would be $199, whereas a new one (assuming you still want 64GB) would be $399. I would recommend selling your current one and just going for a new one. $199 would get you the same, older generation iPod as you have now, and it will probably be refurbished. There have been quite a few improvements since then, so I would say it is worth it.
