boot camp quit while partitioning lost 120GB of memory

To recover that space:

1. Open Disk Utility, select the hard disk at the top of the sidebar and go to Partition tab.

2. You will see a bar with all your partitions, so press Macintosh HD at the bottom right corner and drag it to the end of the bar to use all the space.

3. Press Apply and the space will be recovered onto the Mac OS X partition

Can you take a screenshot of that window? When you are on Partition tab, press Command, Shift, 4 and Space keys, and press the window. Then, upload the photo here pressing the camera button above the reply box

You have a 500 GB hard disk and your OS X volume is using 499.25 GB (the other space is for Recovery HD), so you haven't lost storage and you can continue using your computer as normal

Understood. Select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and verify the disk. Do you see any error?

The OS X volume is damaged (don't worry, you aren't going to lose anything). To repair it:

1. Press Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into Recovery HD.

2. Open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD on the sidebar and repair the disk.

3. When the disk repair has finished, restart the Mac and check if the space is back to the old one before using Boot Camp Assistant.

You are lucky: a problem with Boot Camp Assistant during partitioning can damage the hard drive and lose everything

I have the same problem.. I tried the cmd+R, it boot in internet recovery... and it fixed nothing.. I tried the "option" key, and i got the machintosh Hd, and the recovery HD... I tried to click on the recovery but the mac just turned off... well i just cant find a solution... plz can anyone help.
