Iphone 4s, Power button won't work

Iphone 4s, Power button won't work, speaker phone likes to switch on during phonecalls(with my phone sticking away from my face), and now my iphone freezes at startup. Everyonce in a while it boots up, but then it just restarts and freezes again. All this time I had to wait for the battery to die like for 15 times already. I tried restoring and erasing all content but it froze when it was restoring it. Is this beyond saving or what? Iphone is totally out of warranty, and I am a bit wary of getting a refurb. This has never been jailbroken at all.
