Mac Mini Restarting Multiple times per day

I have a Mac Mini from Sept 2010. Recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and now the restarts due to an issue several times per day. The computer is fine when i am using it, but the issue comes up when i return to wake the monitor by hitting a key or moving the mouse. Sleep is disabled, but the monitor is set to turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity. Sometimes it will be fine left for hours on its own and other times when i come back to the computer, I am met with a gray screen stating the computer had to restart.

Below is the log from the last crash:

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but

1. if it is restarting on it's own, check all of your power connections and reset the SMC as per > Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

1. Shut down the computer.

2. Unplug the computer's power cord.

3. Wait fifteen seconds.

4. Attach the computer's power cord.

5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.

2. if it is kernel panicking, then see OS X: About kernel panics

3. if it is just freezing up after an hour of sleep, you may need to set the Computer Sleep timer to never so that only the Display sleeps and not the Computer.

User uploaded file

To further explain 3, if programs are running and the computer goes to sleep, then it disrupts those programs and they (especially third party programs) are crashing or unable to resume properly.

4. This also holds true for many external devices, network devices and network connected programs because the network is disrupted when the computer sleeps.

Sorry for not being able to pin point the exact problem from your Log, but it looks like maybe either Chrome, a Safari plug-in or some other third party software is running and doesn't like being cut off by Computer Sleep.

Thanks for the reply, den.thed.

I tried the first suggestion, resetting the SMC, but after this the problem continues.

I think the issue is related to the second, kernel panicking.

As for suggestions 3 and 4, i have my energy settings as you show in your post, with monitor sleep after 15 minutes, computer sleep never and none of the options checked. While the computer does not sleep, this is only an issue when i step away from the computer for a while and come back, not when i am actively using it.

The latest error message is as follows, and seems to indicate a kernel panic (or several).

Kernel Panic's can be caused by anything from Hardware including RAM, connected USB and network Devices, third party App's and Utilities, etc.

For a good troubleshooting article, see > Resolving Kernel Panics

1. Quit all Applications and disconnect all your USB devices (hub, iPhone, etc.) and run the Extended Apple Hardware Test.

Then if the Mac's Hardware and RAM pass the test?

2. Start opening App's and adding devices on back one at a time and test each one thoroughly.

Mac Mini Restarting Multiple times per day
