how to upload song to icloud

I have 3 CD's I purchased and improted to itunes. Songs play great on my computer. Moved all songs into iCloud so I can play on my apple TV. Most play fine on the TV, but these I mentioned above appear normally on the playlists etc, but get error messages when I try to play on the TV. Song not available and then no content.

The icloud status on itunes is blank.

How do I get these to upload so they will play?

I have tried synching and updating my cloud etc with no luck.

What is the problem?
