I recently started using my second gen iPod touch, becuase i can't use my iphone 5 with the connector in my car. The ipod keeps disconnecting from my computer, i don't have the issue with my iphone and i also dont have the issue on my laptop. i restored it to factory settings and the problem was not fixed, i'm wondering if my apple mobile device helper is outdated or not compatible?

The computer software should not be an issue.
- Try another cable
- Inspect the dock connector for bend or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
i've tried 4 different cables, and i'm using the same one that worked with my laptop
i'm also positive it is my computer, if i plug it into a wall charger it has no issues.
and i've tried multiple different USB ports, none of which i have any problems with when using another device in said port.
Nope, didn't help. Windows 7 by the way.
I'll just use my laptop for now, but it truly is a hassle...
