"Connection to the iPad was lost"?

I recently restored my iPad and trying to sync to my MAC however, as soon as it starts to sync the photos I get the "The iPad could not be synced becuase the connection to the iPad was lost" prompt. My iPad is on without the screen lock and also plugged into the computer. Why am I having this issue, it's pretty frustrating that I'm not having trouble syncing my devices.

I don't know if when I restored this iPad I restored it as a "New Device" and did not use a back up.

Please help, I'm royally frustrated.

I get that now and then. I just quit iTunes and reboot my Mac and it always works again for me. Sometimes I reboot the iPad as well. Have you done all of that?
