Problems connecting to eMac Server

Hey,

I have the Mid-2012 MacBook Pro and an eMac with OSX 10.5.8. Is it possible for me to set up a SSH server between the two computers on a University Campus Network that supports 802.1x (you need to log in in order to access the internet)?

Even though both are connected to the campus network, I keep getting error 36.

UPDATE!

Problem solved... I simply enabled file sharing, and entered the IP address of the computer I wanted to connect to.
