Wait a few minutes

Plug the power back in to the Time Capsule

This will fix this Lion and Mountain Lion bug about 90% of the time. If the simple restart does not do the trick, see #C12 in Pondini's excellent Time Machine --- Troubleshooting for more detailed fixes.

Yes,, your problem is the most common we have.. at least 5-10 people ask the same question every day.

Reboot the TC.. it is just stupid mountain Lion. It lost its marbles and cannot find them again.. so it needs a swift kick.. if reboot of the TC is not enough.. reboot the whole network.. from off.. restart in correct order.. modem.. TC.. computers.. 2min gap.
