Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
last night a button must have gotten hit on my desk top. The whole screen view went super huge and I have tried all the resolution changes and the system prefrences I have no clue what else to try after 3 hours failed.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), system prefences & resolution tried
Check System Preferences>Universal Access (or Accessibility) and check that Zoom isn't turned on.
Option+Command+8 can toggle zoom on and off. If you have a Magic Mouse try holding the Control key and stroking the mouse up/down.
ok will try that as soon as I get back. the Universal Access I didn't touch so maybe that's it. 🙂

On the right of the page where it says 'legend' - there ae two choices, 'helped' and 'solved'.
Sorry but I searched my pages from top to bottom and those options don't show anywhere on my page. I am so new at this and it was my 1st time using this site. If there is another guide or view I am missing let me know how to get to it, again thank you for so much help.
Go back to the thread where you started your question. Scroll down until you get to Paul's answer and within the answer box are two stars one green and one yellow. All you need do is click on the green one ... and it will register to Paul.
Sorry nothing like that shows up in the boxes or anywhere on my threads. No stars no nothing. Thanks for responding Seventy one.
Okay, I'll have one last go. I am now looking at the post you have just sent me. As you (a) started the post and (b) have not awarded stars to anyone yet, directly one line above the grey 'Like' and 'Reply' words should be a green star and a yellow star. That is because you have yet to award them. Once you do, the chosen one will disappear and reappear against the post you selected.
Now were you to consider this post worth a yellow help mark and you clicked the yellow star, you would see that happen. Then if it works, you can go to any of Paul's posts and click the green one there.
We are not allowed to ask for stars so if you do that it would be your decision but I can see no other way to explain or demonstrate.
Otherwise I can't help more and simply be at a loss to understand what has happened.
Thanks 71 - although points are always welcome my main intention, and yours too no doubt, is that if threads are marked as solved it helps other users get answers.
@Slaysi - don't worry - if there's nowhere to mark it, so be it. Just pleased that your problem was solved. I've been called a few things in my time but 'a night in shining cyber world' is a first - thank you 🙂

Sorry guys, mine is not showing up like that at all. I've tried everything. But so wonderful to know you all have such patience with a novice, I will keep looking, who knows one day it might just pop up for me. Think my settings are forever changed through my fixing stuff .... LOL...<3

You should see things set up like the screen shot above. You will not see the "Solved/Helpful" options on your posts in the thread, but on those who answered you.
I have no idea why my page is missing those features but everything else is the same ...go figure I gave up because it makes no sense :)
