Erase Safari browser history?

How do you erase browser history?

Hi Neil,

You are correct in erasing ALL history. I'm thinking, people want to know how to erase SINGLE items IE. bookmark, just one, NOT the entire history.

Not so sure it's possible, as whenever you do this: >>> BOOKMARK, ->HISTORY, ->CLICKING ON ANY SINGLE BOOKMARK, causes the item to reopen.

There NEEDS to be an Erase BUTTON (future update to IOS 7 ?) that would allow you to pick-out single items to be deleted.
