re-install mountain lion

I have a 2012 Mac Mini. Most of my experience has been with PCs. The Mini works fine, but if I had to or wanted to, how would I re-install the operating? system.

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Hello,

If 10.7.0 or later...

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition.
